Biography: Jessica Mark’s greatest love is working with and learning from the body. Jessica graduated from the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts as an Ortho-Bionomy Practitioner in 2006 and became an Instructor in 2014. She is also a Pilates instructor, somatic movement educator, and owner of Happy Body, a fitness and wellness studio in Asheville, NC. Jessica's practice and teaching of Ortho-Bionomy is complemented by her training and study in Pilates, Polarity Therapy, Gyrokinesis, Trauma Therapy, Body-Mind Centering, and as a professional dancer. She believes in the truth and integrity of the body and is passionate about the blending of touch and movement. With students and clients, Jessica works to bridge the gap between the language of the body and the language of the cognitive mind so that clients may find freedom and ease in their physical being.

This class covers the history, philosophy, principles, and methods of Ortho-Bionomy. Participants will learn to feel the body's self-corrective reflexes through hands-on practical skills. This class will focus on fundamental techniques for working with the joints of the extremities. Learn specific hands-on techniques to provide gentle pain relief with clear results. Massage Therapists--learn how to work with less effort to achieve pain relief for your clients, extending your bodywork career for decades to come. Yoga and Pilates Instructors--learn how to increase range of movement and to create more balanced movement patterns for you and for your students.
