Exploring the Visceral System : Focus on Digestion

Jessica Mark

Asheville, NC

Join us for a transformative in-person workshop where we’ll explore the visceral system with a focus on the organs of digestion. This course is designed for Ortho-Bionomy students or practitioners looking to deepen their understanding of how the digestive system influences overall well-being, as well as those interested in learning how gentle, non-invasive techniques can support the body’s innate ability to heal and restore balance.

Through a combination of hands-on techniques, self explorations, and embodied anatomy and physiology, this workshop will offer you practical tools to integrate visceral work into your practice. Whether you're working with clients or exploring your own body, you'll leave with a greater understanding of how the digestive system connects to posture, energy flow, and emotional health.

What to Expect: Hands-On Approaches: Experience and learn how Ortho-Bionomy techniques can be applied directly to the abdominal area to release tension, improve circulation, and support the organs of digestion.

We will work with Phases 4, 5, and 6 in relationship to the visceral organs and sphincters.

Self Explorations: Learn gentle embodied explorations to nurture and balance your own visceral health. These practices may support digestive health, reduce stress, and enhance self-awareness.

Anatomy & Physiology: Gain a deeper understanding of the digestive organs, including the stomach, intestines, liver, and digestive sphincters, and how they function within the broader context of the body.

We’ll explore how visceral health affects the nervous system, fascia, and overall energy flow.
