Phase 4: Extremities
Karen Elisa Broyles supervised by Jessica Mark
St Louis, MO
The beauty of working with the extremities is that they are often the most comforting and easily accessible point of contact. There is almost no setting where you cannot do simple, profound work by simply holding someone's hand, or beginning at their feet.
Students will learn how to use gentle, position-based techniques to stimulate the body's self-corrective reflexes for the upper and lower extremities. This includes specific releases for joints like the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand, as well as the knee, ankle, and foot. The goal is to reduce muscle tension and stress, improve range of motion, and help the body achieve greater structural alignment and balance.
This is an entry-level course, no previous experience required.
